My purpose is to help others achieve success
Success can take on many forms, it is not always about achieving a result, solving a task or being promoted – the most important thing is to know how success is defined by you, what your inner personal success feels like and how you achieve it.
I am inspired by working with people, it gives me a deep joy and energy. Throughout my career I have intuitively coached employees and colleagues and been very sought after as a mentor. However, it was only later in life I took the time to get a real ICF coach education and it opened my eyes to the enormous strength that lies in supporting others along their right path.
My foundation is built on positive psychology utilising your strengths, values and resources. I see coaching as support on the path towards a desired goal. The goal will be different depending on the individual, maybe it is concretely measurable, maybe it is about finding a balance, maybe about daring to pursue a dream, to stand authentically as a leader utilising your full potential or something completely different.
I will be your confidential support along the way. Sometimes the understanding and listening support, other times the more questioning and challenging support which helps you shed light on beliefs that might hold you back. And continuously I will support you in listening focused to your inner core, to be present, live your values and… breathe.
MENTORING
I am often asked if I want to take mentoring assignments. I would love to as long as we agree on what that means and what the success criteria looks like.
Mid-level & junior managers or Project Managers on specific tasks can benefit greatly from having a mentor on hand who lifts both them and the task itself. It is a win-win for the company, who gain experienced input on the task as well as development of the employee. It is very satisfying to watch a person grow professionally and learn things they can take with them further on .
I work by sharing my experience and input as well as by coaching the individual to be able to stand alone next time. The individual should have the opportunity to make their own choices and possibly make mistakes in the process.
I will always stand in the background and let the one I am mentoring step into the spotlight – when I am asked if a successful idea was mine or the employee’s I have really achieved something, and you can probably guess that I would never take the credit – the employee deserves to be lifted.
PRACTICAL
I regularly recommend a plan with 3 sessions – combined with an evaluation. If we agree that more time is needed, we make a new plan and set goals. We need time to enable more than just scratching the surface and to work on habits to stay on track.
I coach Managers at all levels and can also support specific non-executive employees. In business coaching, the immediate Manager is involved to the extent you want. One thing I do not deviate from, however, is the freedom to coach the whole person. By this I mean we never know from the beginning what turns up and I do not believe in separating the professional and private human being, so there must be freedom in the process under 100% confidentiality.
VIRTUAL
I primarily coach virtually via Teams or Zoom. During the epidemic, it became clear to me what the benefits of virtual coach meetings are, it is as if the focus becomes clearer for the person being coached – as long as it is in a proper environment without interruption. In addition, transport time is avoided, and I can be more flexible as I am often in other countries. However, I can also in agreed cases come to the company.
